The samples of coated glass are baked to about 720 centigrade for a set period of time and then normally cooled to check the coating film properties.
This test is designed to verify the humidity resistance characteristics of the oating. It is a vapor-tight climatic cabinet which is essential for a test in a warm and humid atmosphere. This test consists of subjecting the coated glass to a water saturated atmosphere at constant temperature. The samples have condensation continually forming on them and it is this condensation that may cause surface degradation. The coated glass is then visually inspected for defects.
